Sunday 8:45am service
This is a traditional service of Holy Communion, with hymns, readings, sermon
and choir anthem (when the choir are present).
In a normal month, the choir will lead the singing on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in
the month
Sunday 10:15am service
The 10:15 service is always contemporary in style. The music is lead
by the music group.
It usually starts with a block of songs (although there is often a well-
known hymn as well). There will be readings, a talk, an opportunity to
respond to the talk especially if it has challenged some aspect of your
life. The service will usually finish with another song.
The precise format will vary - some services will include the youngsters
(“All-Age Worship”) and some will include Holy Communion, and there
may be a baptism as well.
Sunday 6:30pm service
This service is Evensong - hymns, a psalm, a reading and a sermon, with a choir
anthem.
The service is held in Breaston only on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays in a month.
On the 1st and 3rd Sundays, the service is held in Draycott (the neighbouring
parish) either at St. Chad’s or at St. Mary’s.
Thursday 9:30am service
The Thursday morning service of Holy Communion is held at 9:30am,
usual in the chancel. It is a simple “said” service.
Coffee is often available after the service, courtesy of one of the
members of the congregation.
